You may contact the Department of Financial Institutions, the office of Housing and Urban Development, the Washington State Bar Association or the statewide civil legal aid hotline for possible assistance or referrals.
Washington’s Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) will help you find a certified housing counseling agency. You can reach them by calling 877.894.4663 (that’s 877.894.HOME). DFI can also be reached at 877.746.4334.
The office of Housing and Urban Development will also help you find a certified housing counseling agency. That office can be reached at 800.569.4287.
The civil legal aid hotline is 888.201.1014 (outside King County) or 877.211.9724 (within King County).
