Celebrating a 40-Year Career at WSECU

Sept. 11, 2025 (Spokane, Wash.) – WSECU Spokane Valley Branch Team Lead Teresa Coble celebrated 40 years with the credit union. From first cars and first homes to first days in retirement, Coble has helped members through all stages of life.

“I’ve had the privilege of serving generations of families as they navigate challenges and celebrate milestones,” Coble said. “It’s a blessing to walk alongside members whether I’m holding their hand during difficult times or rejoicing when their hard work pays off.

Member Consultants like Coble support WSECU members in branches for everything from opening new accounts and handling day-to-day transactions to more complex interactions like building budgets or resolving fraud.

Coble said her tenure at the credit union comes down to the people every time anyone asks what’s kept her with WSECU. Members like one who recently retired and came to visit the branch to thank Coble for her help and guidance, sharing that he was heading off for a dream trip to Italy because she was able to help coach him along the way.

“I often joke that if I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say she changed their life, I’d be independently wealthy, but the truth is, it’s no exaggeration,” said JJ McClinton, Director of Eastern Regional Branches for WSECU. “Nearly every day, I witness the profound impact Teresa has on people, often moving them to tears through both her financial guidance and her genuine friendship. She truly is a gift to me and everyone she meets.”

Coble said WSECU has always been supportive to her and that support has helped her achieve her 40-year tenure so far.

“Serving people directly is what brings me joy and why I never lost my passion,” Coble said. “After 40 years I can say this: Don’t chase the money. Chase what gives you purpose and the rest will follow.”
