One Internal Promotion and One Outside Hire Enhance WSECU’s VP Team
March 4, 2026 (Olympia, Wash.) – WSECU announced it promoted Lauren Lopp as the credit union’s Vice President of People and Culture Services and hired Jeremy Wiersma as the Vice President of Business Lending.
“I’m thrilled to continue leading my team in this new role,” Lopp said. “We’ve got an incredible group dedicated to supporting WSECU employees and fostering a healthy and inclusive environment. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish as a team in the future.”
In the role, Lopp oversees compensation and benefits, culture and diversity, administrative services and recruitment, among other duties. Lopp previously served as the Director of Diversity and Culture with WSECU and has worked with the credit union for 18 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Idaho.
“I’m looking forward to developing an already successful Commercial Lending Department by expanding loan products and offerings for small and large businesses,” Wiersma said. “Our efforts will all build toward allowing us to better serve our members and create a better overall experience for our business members.”
As the Vice President of Business Lending, Wiersma oversees Commercial Lending Sales, Commercial Credit Administration and Commercial Servicing and Small Business. He previously served as the Vice President of Business Services at iQ Credit Union. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Idaho.
