The not-for-profit cooperative was recognized by its members to earn a place on the list. Forbes and Statista Inc. identified Best-In-State Credit Unions 2022 based on an independent survey of approximately 26,000 U.S. consumers who were asked to rate credit unions at which they have or previously have had checking accounts. Credit union members made recommendations regarding overall satisfaction and also assessed the financial institutions in the following dimensions: trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, customer service, and financial advice.

“We’re thrilled to be on this list again this year,” said Ann Flannigan, VP of Public Relations. “Our members are at the heart of everything we do. Having their views of our partnership lead to this recognition is incredibly rewarding.”

WSECU recently celebrated its 65th anniversary of helping members achieve greater financial wellness. Since its beginning in 1957, the credit union has grown to $4.5 billion in assets and serves more than 285,000 members through its 22 branches, Contact Center and digital channels. Of the over 5,400 credit unions in the U.S., just 171 made the cut for the best-in-state rankings from Forbes.
