WSECU Takes Top Spot in Washington on Forbes Best-In-State Credit Unions 2023 List

July 17, 2023 (Olympia, Wash.) – WSECU has been named the top credit union in Washington state on the Forbes Best-In-State Credit Unions list for 2023, the third consecutive year it has earned a place on the prestigious list.

The not-for-profit cooperative was recognized by its members to earn a place on the list. Forbes and Statista Inc. identified Best-In-State Credit Unions 2023 based on an independent survey of approximately 31,000 US consumers who were asked to rate credit unions at which they have checking or savings accounts. Credit union members made recommendations regarding customer service, the quality of the financial advice representatives offer, whether fees are transparent and reasonable, ease of navigating the company website, on-location branch services and the overall level of trust the companies inspired. This year’s assessments also included online reviews and ratings posted on Google Reviews between March 2020 and April 2023, accounting for 20% of the total scoring for each institution.

WSECU will celebrate its 66th anniversary of helping members achieve greater financial wellness this July. Since its beginning in 1957, the credit union has grown to $5 billion in assets and serves more than 300,000 members through its 24 branches, the Contact Center and digital channels.
