WSECU Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipients

Sept. 23, 2025 (Olympia, Wash.) – WSECU awarded over $100,000 in college scholarships to 40 credit union members pursuing higher education.

WSECU has been committed to helping members reach their educational goals by awarding college scholarships for more than three decades. Recipients are selected by a committee comprised of fellow members, community members and employees. The selection process is based on an evaluation of several criteria including academic record, community involvement and a written essay.

“We’re proud to continue supporting our members with our ongoing commitment to this scholarship program,” said Will Rance, Vice President of Community Relations. “These students are continuing to pursue their dreams and improve themselves through higher education and it’s an honor to do our part to help make that journey a little more possible.”

A total of 25 students who will attend a four-year or post-graduate institution this fall received a $3,000 scholarship. The credit union also granted $2,000 scholarships to 15 students enrolling in two-year community colleges or vocational programs.
