WFTC check-cashing services

Welcome

Welcome to WSECU and thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you with your banking needs.

We are pleased to offer check-cashing services for Working Family Tax Credit (WFTC) checks issued by the State of Washington at all of our 24 branches. This service is for those who currently do not have a bank account or a primary financial institution. Please note that WFTC checks issued by the State of Washington are the only non-member check-cashing services we offer.

When you go to a WSECU branch for this service, please have your WFTC check with the attached check stub and one of the following forms of valid photo ID:

  • Washington State Driver License
  • Washington State ID
  • U.S. passport
  • Federal Tribal ID

Please note: IDs with punch holes are not valid.

If you need more information or have additional questions about the WFTC program, please check the Washington State Department of Revenue website.

We are committed to your financial success and look forward to serving you.

Credit unions were founded on the idea of neighbors coming together. As a financial institution we embrace our special responsibility to expand equitable access in financial services, and are committed to the additional work we can do as a credit union to reduce historic inequity.
