Community Involvement

We do more when we do it together

When it comes to supporting our communities, we’re all in. We believe that by joining together we can do more together – for our members and for our neighbors. That’s why we invest a portion of our earnings back into our communities to make them better and stronger.

Out and About

We love to be out and about in our communities, hanging out with our members and neighbors and helping out wherever we can. Whether it’s participating in local college events, hosting our annual statewide Shred Day, holding our Annual and Town Meetings, leading financial wellness workshops or a host of other great causes, you’ll usually find us right in the thick of it all.

We consider sponsorship requests for non-profit organizations and events that align with our pillars.

 Proud graduates

We’re all about helping our members achieve their higher education goals. If you’re a WSECU member who’s looking for some financial help, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been proud to sponsor our annual scholarship program since 2004…last year we awarded nearly $65,000 and we’re ready to do it again. Our scholarship application period for the 2016 fall semester is currently underway…you can learn more about the program and eligibility requirements on the next page.

Tell Me More

Our employees have pitched in to volunteer in our communities on their own time for many years. In 2014, we launched our employee volunteer program that provides paid time for staff to volunteer at a variety of local venues. In 2015, we had 77% participation with 53% of our employees using all of the volunteer hours available to them. Several of our departments and branches also hit the 100% participation mark. We're so proud of our phenomenal team!
