- Check your available balance or credit limit to ensure it will cover the charge.
- If you're shopping online or the merchant is key-entering your card data (card number, zip code, expiration date), double check that everything was entered correctly.
- If you've recently been issued a new or replacement card, be sure you have the newest card and that it's activated.
